Apply for help

An application form to apply to the Fund for help can be downloaded here.

Once fully completed and signed, this should be submitted, together with supporting documents and competitive quotes if required. All applications should be emailed to apply@nwgpensbenfund.org.uk or posted to The NatWest Group Pensioners Benevolent Fund, Freepost NWGBENFUND. (No stamp required). If, however, you would prefer to send by registered post, this needs to be paid for and mail should be addressed to 10 Gardiner Road, Edinburgh, EH4 3RR.

Additional information in support of the application may be submitted with the form if considered appropriate.

There are no fixed criteria to obtain assistance from the Fund; each application is considered on its merits. However, it is unlikely that help would be approved by the Trustees for those with significant income or savings.

We promise that we will consider all applications. If we are unable to cover the whole of the amount you request we may be able to cover a proportion of the cost.

The Trustees of the Fund reserve the right to ask for supporting documentation and/ or evidence of savings, investments and income in connection with any application when considered necessary. With your consent, we may also contact the Bank Workers Charity to discuss jointly funding a deserving application.

Successful applicants will normally receive their grant payment by direct transfer in sterling to their UK bank account but, by exception, payments can be made by cheque. To log your preference, please complete and return a payment authority form with your application.
