Trustee Recruitment

Looking to develop your career?

  • Would you like to sit on an executive Board of charity trustees?
  • Would you like to help lead an established and well-respected Charity?
  • Would you like to gain hands on Board level experience and possibly go on to lead the Trustee team by becoming the Chairman?
  • Would you like a record of success in the Charity sector on your CV?

This could be the opening you have been waiting for.

An attractive personal development opportunity has arisen to join the board of our endowed, grant making Charity.

The NatWest Group Pensioners Benevolent Fund exists to help retired former employees of the NatWest Group of companies who may need financial help. You would be joining an established, progressive, registered Charity. We operate across the U.K. and are independent of the Bank.

We have accumulated assets £1.5m under active management.  These funds, derived from legacies and donations from former Bank employees and associated organisations, provide the income to fund a variety of much needed financial grants to needy retired Group staff and their dependants.

The six existing Trustees are retired Bank staff themselves and their profiles may be viewed on our website.

We are seeking to recruit two serving members of NWG staff with the aim of broadening the diversity and collective knowledge of the existing board.  Applicants must support the Charity’s aims and objectives and be able to empathise with the financial challenges of former colleagues who are now pensioners.

No previous experience of being a trustee is necessary.  One of our vacancies is for a candidate with communications expertise to help us heighten our profile and extend our reach to more potential beneficiaries, whilst the other is for a more generalist position.  Job descriptions for both roles can be found at the links below.

To find out more about our Charity and how to go about joining us, please see the accompanying FAQs here.

Initial expression of interest should be received by Cliff Kendall (cliftonpkendall@gmail.com) by Friday 22nd April 2022.
